Staff Profile: Erin Sealy

Cimco is proud to be a team made up of diverse backgrounds, skill sets and interests. Every few weeks we highlight a member of our team to learn what makes them (and Cimco) unique.

Take a minute to get to know Erin Sealy! She’s our Distribution Team Lead and has been with the company since 2017.

Where did you grow up?
Central Point, OR.

What are your hobbies outside of work?
Traveling to places with historic importance, learning about history, and spending time with my loved ones.

What is your favorite thing about working at Cimco?
The culture! Everyone is so happy to come to work every day and it really is so unique to Cimco. Another part of the culture is our customers, they are so kind and welcoming, it makes doing my job that much more enjoyable. I also enjoy getting to travel to new places and see new things.

Describe a time that your work made a difference.
Anytime I am showing someone a product and they become excited because it solves a recurring problem or is a solution to something they weren’t sure how to fix, I feel that I have made a difference. A specific instance was when I was with a city doing a locate on their newly installed Copperhead tracer wire system. The city’s locating specialist and I were walking the site and he kept exclaiming that he could not believe he was still getting a strong signal the further we got away from the transmitter. He was able to see the possibilities and the time savings the system would give him. It was exciting to see him so excited!

What is your superpower?
I think my superpower is my ability to care about every customer and request. I always strive to make our customers feel heard and taken care of in every interaction, and I believe this gives them a sense of comfort and confidence in me. Helping people is a passion of mine, and I enjoy being able to help our customers.

Do you have any surprise skills that no one in your professional world really knows about?

Some people know this already, but I went to a professional makeup college in Los Angeles when I was 19-20. I learned everything from prom makeup to how to design, create, apply, and paint prosthetic pieces for a character of my creation (think Face Off, the competition show)

Best advice you ever received, or most meaningful encouragement/compliment someone has given you:
I have so many answers for this. I’ll list a few!
“It’s only a mistake if you don’t learn something from it, otherwise, it’s a lesson. So, what did you learn from this?” - my fiancé
“People need to hear something 7 times to truly learn it” -Raeann (a lesson in patience and giving grace)
“I don’t think you understand how truly awesome you are, girl!” -Raeann (when I was doubting myself)
“You inspire me to be better.” -my older sister

 Lightning round:

Do you have any nick names?
My sisters call me Nikki because my middle name is Nichole, my grandpa called me Jabberbox because I would not stop talking as a kid.

Favorite movie/artist/album (you pick):
Favorite movie is probably Atlantis: The Lost Empire. I know, dorky 😜

Favorite food:
I absolutely ADORE Korean food, but pancakes will always hold a special place in my heart. Oh, and popcorn. I love popcorn.

Dream vacation destination:
One of those all-inclusive resorts, somewhere tropical with lots of beach time and tiny drink umbrellas 🍹

One thing you couldn’t live without:
My family and friends, they are my world.
